👨🍳 Instructions
If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling.
In a small bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, maple syrup, and TABASCO® sauce until smooth.
Thread alternating pieces of pineapple, bell pepper, red onion, and kielbasa onto the skewers.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (375°F–400°F) and lightly oil the grates.
Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, turning periodically so all sides get nice grill marks.
During the last 2 minutes of cooking, brush all sides generously with the maple BBQ glaze and let caramelize slightly.
Remove from the grill and serve hot.

⚠️ Common Mistakes
- ✕
Applying the glaze too early, which causes the sweet syrup to char black.
- ✕
Cutting the vegetables and sausage into uneven sizes, causing them to cook at different rates.
🔄 Variations
Swap kielbasa for smoked chicken sausage or precooked bacon-wrapped pork sausage bites.
Add fresh jalapeño slices between the pineapple pieces for an extra spicy contrast.
🧊 Storage
- 📦
Store leftover skewers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat on a hot skillet or grill.
💡 Chef Tips
Soak wooden skewers well to prevent them from burning on the high heat of the grill.
Apply the maple BBQ glaze only during the last few minutes of cooking so the sugars don't burn and turn bitter.
