β οΈ Common Mistakes
- β
Cheese temperature: If the cream cheese is too cold, you will get lumps that are hard to eliminate in the mousse.
π Variations
Crunchy touch: Sprinkle toasted coconut on top just before serving.
Fruity version: You can replace the pineapple with fresh peaches for a different twist.
π§ Storage
- π¦
Keeps for up to 3 days in the refrigerator. Cover the dish well to prevent the dessert from absorbing fridge odors.
π‘ Chef Tips
The importance of draining: Squeeze the pineapple well to extract the maximum juice. Too much liquid would prevent the dessert from setting properly.
Crispy base: For a sturdier base, you can bake the cookies in the oven for 5 minutes before adding the butter.
