Easy Taco Salad Bowls

A hearty salad with Tex-Mex flavors, served in a crispy tortilla bowl and topped with a tangy lime crema.
Crunch meets comfort. Homemade tortilla bowls hold seasoned beef, crisp lettuce, and all the taco toppings β impressive to look at, and gone in minutes.
π₯ Ingredients
- π« 4 homemade tortilla bowls (optional)
- π« 1 lb (450g) lean ground beef
- π« 3 tbsp taco seasoning (homemade or 1 packet store-bought)
- π« 1/2 cup water
- π« 1 head iceberg lettuce, medium, chopped
- π« 1 avocado, peeled, pitted and diced
- π« 1 cup diced tomatoes or pico de gallo
- π« 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican cheese blend
- π« 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- π« 1/2 cup tortilla strips or chips (optional)
- π« 1 lime cut into wedges, for serving
- π« 1/2 cup sour cream
- π« 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- π« 2 tbsp lime juice
- π« 1 tsp garlic powder
- π« 1 tsp sriracha sauce (optional)

π¨βπ³ Instructions
**Cook beef:** Cook the ground beef in a pan until well browned.
**Season:** Add taco seasoning and water, then simmer until the sauce thickens.
**Prepare crema:** Mix all the Lime Crema ingredients in a small bowl until smooth.
**Assemble:** Place lettuce at the bottom of the tortilla bowls. Add the hot beef mixture, tomatoes, avocado and cheese.
**Finish:** Top with cilantro, tortilla chips and drizzle with lime crema before serving with a lime wedge.
